Project “Community involvement to the elaboration of strategic plan of sustainable development”
The project realization became possible due to the financial support, given by British Council in Ukraine
Project realization term – 9 months (September 2006 - May 2007)
Project goal – To involve community to decision-making at the elaboration of Strategic plans of sustainable development of 3 towns in Rivne region (Zdolbuniv, Sarny, Kostopil)
Project objectives:
- To raise the citizens’ influence on the decisions of local self-governance by elaboration of Strategic plans of sustainable development with the community participation.
- To spread the experience and results produced in the project, to agencies of local development of Ukraine and interested organizations.
Project activities
- To conduct negotiations and sign the agreements with the cities, which will get elaborated Strategic plans of sustainable development.
- To inform community with the aim to involve citizens to the process of Strategy elaboration.
- Elaboration of “Audits of Sustainable development” and “Strategic plans of sustainable development” in Zdolbuniv, Sarny and Kostopil towns. To spread the methodology of citizens involvement to the elaboration of Strategy of sustainable development.
- To conduct “Forum of Sustainable development” in Rivne with the aim to exchange in the models of sustainable development.
